Your triceps muscle is in the back of your upper arm, and its main function is to allow you to straighten your arm. Having strong triceps is key to completing push-ups, and the triceps extension is a great way to strengthen and tone your triceps muscle.

Choose enough weight to do 8 to 12 repetitions. Grasp the bar with an overhand grip. Keep your elbows tucked close to your body and stationary. Lower the bar slowly until your arms are fully extended downward. Bring the bar back up to the starting position. Repeat 8 to 12 times.
