In addition to exercise, proper nutrition plays a major role in maintaining total fitness. Although maintaining a healthy weight is important, there’s more to nutrition than counting calories. It’s also important to eat a balanced diet full of the vitamins and minerals your body needs to stay healthy and strong.

Eating a diet that balances the appropriate number of calories with all of the nutrients your body needs can be a challenge, but the reward—being healthy now and in the future—is worth the effort.
