The video begins with SGT Courtney Zablocki in her Army Combat Uniform, or ACUs, sitting in a weight room. She introduces herself.

My name is Sergeant Courtney Zablocki and I’m a member of the Colorado Army National Guard. My sport is luge.

The video cuts to a screen that shows SGT Zablocki in uniform, workout clothing, and in luge attire; the image shifts to Courtney standing to the side of the screen next to text that reads “SGT Courtney Zablocki: Luger.” As she continues to speak, Courtney is shown sitting in the gym; then footage of her on a luge track is shown.

Luge is an interesting sport because you have to be totally relaxed but alert at the same time. My fastest speed that I’ve been clocked at is 86 miles per hour.

The video continues to alternate between luge footage, Courtney talking while dressed in ACUs, and Courtney lifting weights.

I like to lift a lot of weights. I do a lot of body balance, agility, and yoga.

Courtney is shown performing various weight-lifting and aerobic exercises.

I work out four to five days a week and I make sure I have two to three rest days in there also. Rest is important because your body needs to recover from the training that you do. For lifting, I usually do bench press, pull-ups, squats, prone row, you name it, I probably do it. And for yoga, I like it for the balance, coordination, and stretching.

While Courtney continues to speak, images of her preparing for the luge competition are shown.

You definitely want to be flexible when you’re doing a sport just because if you have a crash, an injury, you want to be able to have your body respond and recover from that.

The video returns to show Courtney speaking at the gym.

It’s important to change up your workout routine about every six weeks just so you’re working different muscle groups and you’re not always fatiguing the same muscles at the same time. I like to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, chicken, eggs, and mostly whole grains.

Footage of Courtney on a luge track is shown.

Putting together your own workout can be fine, but if you want to really get into shape and be serious about it, I would speak with someone who knows what they’re talking about.

The video concludes with the initial intro screens – one showing Courtney in three modes of dress and the final showing Courtney standing to the side of the screen next to text that reads “SGT Courtney Zablocki: Luger.”
