Guard Fit Challenge – Video: Inside the Exercise—Leg Raises

Two athletes are shown, one at a time, performing leg raises in a weight room. All are lying on a gym mat. An intro screen that says “Inside the Exercise: Leg Raises” appears, and then SGT Courtney Zablocki—one of the athletes—begins a description of the exercise.

Courtney: Leg raises are good for your core. They will help strengthen your abs.

The video shifts to show Courtney performing leg raises as SPC Tim Bailey explains the exercise.

Tim: The first thing you want to do is place your hand up under your buttocks, raise your legs six inches off the ground, then raise your legs parallel up to the ceiling.

The video shifts to show Tim performing the exercises as Courtney continues the explanation.

Courtney: You want to have your head resting on the ground and make sure that your back doesn’t come off the ground. You’ll want to perform this 8 to 12 times.

Tim continues performing the exercise until the video fades. The final screen contains the words “Inside the Exercise: Leg Raises.”
