An aviation operations specialist in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, SGT Vikram Mittal was a high school football player before becoming a runner in college as a way to relieve stress.
A member of the 2008-2009 All Guard Marathon Team, Vikram earned a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology while training for events including the Boston marathon.
